PHILIPPE BOVET

He has since gone on to co-found A Class Act Intensive a program dedicated to help dancers around the world become better storytellers using every element of the performing arts. I want to push each participant to become better then the norm, I want help each one of them to become their own driving force or creation, through character development I want them to experience the possibilities of letting the character do the work for them, then I want them to dig deep into different scenes and monologues so they can master an artistic comprehension of stories, because once you know what story you're telling and what character you need to tell it, we can't keep our eyes off you!

SERGINE DUMAIS
MUSICAL THEATRE
MUSICAL THEATRE
My approach is based on acting techniques specifically designed for musical theatre. Performers learn to build a character, to tell a story while respecting conventions of the musical theatre art form.
Musical theater is commonly defined as being the combination of three forms of art: theater, song, and dance. However, I believe that musical theatre is more than this simple fusion: it is an art form that stands on its own. It is the performer’s responsibility to tune his/her instrument regularly, and continue to refine. My workshops won’t replace dance or voice lessons. They offer tools, techniques to “act a song” and play a part in musical theatre.
During the workshops, all the performer’s skills (singing, acting, and movement) are called into action. As a result, the whole instrument will have a chance to evolve.
